JERRY RISCH – ST. LOUIS CARDINALS VISITING CLUBHOUSE MANAGER AWARDED 2015 MLBCMA RING

JerryRJerry Risch completed his 50th season with the Cardinals in 2015 and his 32nd season as the team’s Visiting Clubhouse Manager.

The 62-year-old Risch began working for the Cardinals in 1966 as the umpire’s room manager. In 1969 and 1970, he served as the Redbirds’ bat boy. He began working as an assistant in the visitor’s clubhouse in 1971 and was named to his current position in 1983.

Risch is a graduate of Southwest High School, where he lettered in soccer. He attended Meramec Community College and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Risch was awarded the “Good Guy” award by the St. Louis Chapter of the BBWAA in January 2002. He and his wife, Mary Catherine, have two children, Jessica, and Joseph and one granddaughter, Lily .

In his spare time, Jerry enjoys photography, trout fishing and cheering on the Missouri Tigers.
